Stand Your Ground

One Step Forward and Two Steps Back.

Stand your Ground.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

I was praying yesterday and started thinking about how far I’ve gotten in life and refuse to fall for the same temptation I always fall for. I saw it coming. Here’s how it always plays out… this happened in one day but I saw it coming days ago…

  1. Ministry Opportunities pop out
  2. Started to pray about it
  3. Text messages come in (texting gets me in trouble).
  4. The opportunity to “fall”
  5. Prays to God that I will never go through that cycle again!
  6. Falls for the temptation
  7. Cries and pray for forgiveness

For years this would always occur and growing up spiritually I realize the tactics of the enemy is to set it up just the way I like it and I always fall for it. One day after falling for temptation, I audibly heard an evil laugh. It scared me. It made me realize that I have fallen for the same tricks of the enemy AGAIN. From that day on I said that I will never fall the same tricks especially if it was revealed to me days before. Trust God and Listen! I woke up this morning and the first thing I did was to read Small Straws. I usually don’t read it until the afternoon but I believe the Lord led me to read it now and it said: Stand your spiritual ground, and refuse the temptation to go back to places where you have already gained victory. I speak of self-indulgence, pride, competition, greed and the like. Take the time to get re-focused on walking and living in the Spirit. Do not give fear or insecurity a place in you that would open a door to the enemy. Rise up and re-establish yourself in faith and purity, says the Lord.  Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Stand your ground because the enemy wants to take away your territory. We pray for enlargement of territory but it comes with a price. Protect it. We gain and loose territory all the time. It is that “one step forward and two steps back”. You gain territory in victory and when you fall you loose it. So I encourage you to STAND YOUR GROUND. Don’t fall for the same tricks. Let’s get beyond the elementary and move and advance in God. Be blessed!
